Sointu Kouki (M.Soc.Sc., Certified Future Strategist) is a professional in strategic foresight, strategy development, and visionary leadership. She helps organizations elevate their perspective and make better decisions in the face of uncertainty. Sointu supports organizations in identifying future opportunities and in building clear strategic directions, operating models, and ways of thinking for a changing world.
Sointu’s core expertise lies in structuring future-related phenomena, uncertainties, and alternative development paths into strategically meaningful frameworks. Her strengths include systems thinking, identifying and making key assumptions visible, and the ability to embed foresight into everyday leadership, decision-making, and strategic choices.
Sointu has completed the International Certified Future Strategist (ICFS) program in strategic foresight. She has experience from more than 50 client engagements supporting foresight, strategy development, and strategy implementation.
She is particularly motivated by how future-oriented thinking can be integrated into the daily life of organizations. Foresight is not a separate exercise or report, but a way of thinking and acting that supports decision-making, organizational capability, and long-term success. Organizations are often heavily focused on today’s challenges; Sointu helps broaden the perspective and bring the future meaningfully into decision-making.
In addition to management consulting, Sointu has worked with the United Nations Development Programme in Central Asia, at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and in developing ecosystems and partnership networks within the public sector. As a person, Sointu is a curious and big-picture thinker who enjoys traveling and cooking. On weekends, she can often be found in her kitchen experimenting with recipes from around the world.
